A Vehicle Drove Through the Front of the Store
This happened Wednesday morning...or Tuesday morning I forget, but around 5:30am, so thank God that no one was hurt. Basically we got a call that our alarm went off, and I expected the worst for some reason. I was pretty much holding my breath because my gut feeling said it was going to be a mess and it pretty much was. This wasn't some general smash and grab as seen in the past. Well perhaps no, in the past someone dented our back metal door in order to get in, thankfully they didn't.
Well eventually when we got there it wasn't a pretty site. We looked at it and we noticed that a police officer walked out, having his hand on his holstered gun, and telling us to step back and park somewhere away from the scene which we did. I finally think that I felt shock, real life shock from looking at the scene. I felt that my heart was ligther, not neccessarily beating faster but like someone added coolant into my arteries.
We went back home as a precaution, came back to wait for the Forensics personnel. Of course this wasn't exactly C.S.I., but it suited.
It was pretty shitty to tell the truth, glass was everwhere in the front part, the newspaper wire shelf trashed to shit. Comics and newspapers where strewn across the floor and the door was literally off the wall. The entire door frame just came off the wall. And all they stole for just going through all the trouble of driving through a doorway with a stolen vehicle? A row of Export A Medium cigarettes. Yes, possibly not even an entire carton, that's all they stole.
It's kinda slap in the face when pricks decide to cause so much damage to get so little shit, especially scratching our slush machine. But I guess it's stupid on my part considering that in saying that statement it's like saying "why didn't they steal more anyways?"
Well they didn't catch them yet, and the vehicle was stolen from Dawson Creek, and found abandoned in Dawson Creek. Well I suppose that if they were to joyride, might as well get some milage out of it.
